DTC 11-1: | Open or Increased Resistance in Driver's Side Airbag Inflator |
Special Tools Required
SRS inflator simulator ( 07SAZ-TB4011A)
1. | Erase the DTC memory. |
2. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off. Does the SRS indicator stay on? YES - Go to 3. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures. |
3. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for 3 minutes. |
4. | Disconnect the SDo connector from the SDi connector (A).

5. | Connect the special tool (2 W connector) to the SDi connector (A). |
6. | Reconnect the battery negative cable. |
7. | Erase the DTC memory. |
8. | Read the DTC. Is DTC 11-1 indicated? YES - Go to 9. NO - Open or increased resistance in the driver's side airbag; replace the driver's side airbag.n |
9. | Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for 3 minutes. |
10. | Disconnect the TL1o and TR1o connectors (A) from the TL1i and TR1i connectors (B).

11. | Disconnect the U2o connector (A) from the SRS unit.
|
12. | Disconnect the SRS inflator simulator (special tool) from the SRS simulator lead C. |
13. | Check resistance between the A and B terminals of the SRS simulator lead C (special tool). There should be 1.0 W or less.
Is the resistance as specified? YES - Faulty SRS unit or poor contact at the U2o connector and the SRS unit, check the connection between the U2o connector and the SRS unit. If the connection is OK, replace the SRS unit.n NO - Open or increased resistance in the floor wire harness; replace the floor wire harness.n |
