Passenger's airbag off indicator does not come on
NOTE: Before replacing the SRS unit, check the SRS unit software version with the HDS. If the software version is not the latest,
update the SRS unit software
and retest.

Check for front passenger's airbag on/off switch to ON.

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then wait for 10 seconds.

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

Does the SRS indicator come on?

Go to the System Troubleshooting ‘‘SRS indicator stay on, but no DTCs are stored''.■

From the Main Menu on the HDS, select SRS, then PARAMETER INFORMATION. In the ‘‘FRONT PASSENGER'S AIRBAG ON/OFF SWITCH'', and read the HDS indicated.
