Starter Signal Malfunction (from ECM by Signal Line)

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

With the shift lever in N and the brake pedal pressed, check the STARTER ENABLE SIGNAL in the DATA LIST with the HDS.
YES

Repair a short to ground in the wire between the ECM (A43) and the TCM (A10).■
|
NO
|

|
|
-
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
-
Disconnect the clutch actuator subharness 10P connector from the engine compartment wire harness.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
-
Measure voltage between clutch actuator subharness 10P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?

YES
|

Repair a short to power in the wire between the ECM (A43) and the TCM (A10).■
|
NO
|

|
|
-
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
-
Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
-
Disconnect ECM connector A (49P).
