M/T Assembly Installation
Special Tools Required

Engine support hanger
 AAR-T-1256-J00
NOTE: Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
  1. Make sure two dowel pins (A) are installed in prescribed hole on the engine block as shown.
  1. Place the transmission on the transmission jack, and raise it to the engine unit level.
  1. Install the lower transmission mounting bolts.
  1. Install the torque rod bracket with new bolt (A) and bolts (B).
  1. Loosely install the torque rod new bolt (A), new nut (B) and new bolt (C), then remove the transmission jack.
  1. Install the clutch case cover.
  1. Install the clutch pipe stay.
  1. Install the heat cover.
  1. Lower the vehicle on the lift.
  1. Install the transmission mount bracket (A), and loosely tighten the new transmission mount bracket mounting bolts and nuts (B).
  1. Install the ground cable (C).
  1. Loosen the wing nut (A). Remove the hook (B) and engine support hanger (C) from the vehicle.
  1. Remove the hanger plate (A) to the air cleaner housing mounting bracket (B) with the 8 x 1.25 mm bolt (C). Install the purge control SOL.V. hose (D).
  1. Tighten the transmission mount mounting bolts and nuts in the numbered sequence shown.
  1. Tighten the torque rod with the bolts and nut to the specified torque value.
  1. Install the one upper transmission mounting bolts.
  1. Connect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) connector (A), then install the harness clamp bracket (B).
  1. Connect the back-up light switch connector (A), then install the harness clips (B).
  1. Install the air cleaner stay.
  1. Check the clutch operation.
  1. Test-driver the vehicle.
