i-SHIFT Clutch Pipe Assembly Replacement

NOTE:
  • Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surface.
  • Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint; if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
  1. Remove the slave cylinder (A) from the transmission housing (B), so as not to bend the clutch line.
  1. Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

  1. Remove the clip (A) then Disconnect the clutch pipe comp (B) from the clutch actuator (C). Plug the end of the clutch line with a shop towel to prevent brake fluid from coming out.

  1. Connect the clutch pipe comp (A) with the new O-ring (B) then install the clip (C) from the clutch actuator (D).
    NOTE:
    • No clip protrude after install.
    • Confirm the connector being set certainly.
    • Application of oil is not allowed.
  1. Lower the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

  1. Pull the boot (A) back, and apply grease to the boot and slave cylinder rod (B). Reinstall the boot.
  1. Apply a light coat of molybdenum grease to the tip of the push rod the slave cylinder and the release fork.
  1. Install the slave cylinder (C) on the transmission housing (D).
  1. Check the clutch operation and check for leaking fluid.
  1. Test-drive the vehicle.
