Subfuel Pressure Relieving

Before disconnecting subfuel lines or hoses, relieve pressure from the system by disabling the subfuel pump and then disconnecting the fuel tube/quick connect fitting in the engine compartment.
  1. Remove the subfuel fill cap, then retighten the subfuel cap.
  1. Remove the bolt (A), then disconnect the subfuel feed line (B).

  1. Place a rag or shop towel over the subfuel feed line (A) and (B).
  1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal, with a new O-ring (C).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), but do not operate the starter. After the subfuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the fuel pressure in the line rises. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leakage.
