DTC B1028:
Rear Wiper Auto Stop Switch Malfunction

Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
-
Operate the rear window wiper for 15 seconds or more, then turn the rear window wiper switch OFF.
-
Check for DTCs with the HDS.
YES

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.■

Check the No. 16 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
YES

NO
|

|
Replace the fuse and recheck the system.■

Disconnect the rear window wiper motor 4P connector.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
-
Measure the voltage between the rear window wiper motor 4P connector No. 1 terminal and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?

YES

NO

Repair an open in the wire between the under-dash fuse/relay box and rear window wiper motor.■
