1. | Check the No. 8 (15A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box. Is the fuse OK? YES - Reinstall the fuse, and go to 2. NO - Replace the fuse, and recheck.n |
2. | Check the No. 17 (7.5A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box. Is the fuse OK? YES - Reinstall the fuse, and go to 3. NO - Replace the fuse, and recheck.n |
3. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
4. | Measure the voltage between body ground and AVN unit connector A (12P) terminals No. 1 and No. 2 individually.
Is there battery voltage? YES - Go to 5. NO - Repair open in the wire between the fuse/relay box and the AVN unit.n |
5. | Measure the voltage between body ground and AVN unit connector B (20P) terminals No. 2 and No. 10.
Is there battery voltage? YES - Go to 6. NO - Repair open in the wire between the fuse/relay box and the AVN unit.n |
6. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
7. | Check for continuity between AVN unit connector A (12P) terminal No. 4 and body ground.
Is there continuity? YES - Go to 8. NO - Repair open in the wire between the AVN unit and body ground (G403).n |
8. | Check for continuity between AVN unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 20 and body ground.
Is there continuity? YES - Go to 9. NO - Repair open in the wire between the AVN unit and body ground (G403).n |
9. | Perform the forced starting of display. Is the diagnosis menu of the picture diagnosis displayed? YES - Perform the System Links Test in the Picture Diagnosis Test menu.n NO - Replace the AVN unit.n |
