Rear Seat Belt Replacement

NOTE: Check the rear seat belts for damage, and replace them if necessary. Be careful not to damage them during removal and installation.

Rear Seat Belt


1.Remove the lower anchor bolt (A).

 

2.Remove the trunk side trim panel.

3.Remove the upper anchor cap (A), and remove the upper anchor belt (B).

 

4.Remove the retractor mounting self-tapping ET screw (A), and the retractor bolt (B), then remove the rear seat belt (C) and retractor (D).

 

5.Install the seat belt in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:


Upper anchor bolt construction: 

Lower anchor bolt construction: 

Rear Center Shoulder Seat Belt


1.Remove the metal plate (A) from the retractor cover (B). Remove the bolt(A) and detach the clips, then remove the cover.

 

2.Remove the quarter pillar trim.

3.Remove the upper anchor bolt (A), and the retractor mounting bolt (B).

 

4.Remove the center seat belt (A) and retractor (B).

 

5.Install the seat belt in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:


Upper anchor bolt construction: 

Seat Belt Buckles and Center shoulder Seat Belt Detachable Anchor/Center Lap Seat Belt


1.Pull the rear seat belt buckles and rear center shoulder seat belt detachable anchor or rear center lap seat belt out through each band on both seat cushions. Then lift both seat cushions up.

2.From bottom of both rear seat-backs (A), release the fasteners (B) in the rear of the carpet (C). Slip the rear seat belt buckles (D) out through a slit (E) in the buckle anchor carpet (E).

 

3.Remove the center anchor bolts (A), then remove the seat belt buckles (B) and center shoulder seat belt detachable anchor (C) or rear center lap seat belt (D).

With center shoulder seat belt:

4.Install the buckles and detachable anchor in the reverse order of removal.
